Strawberry Pretzel Salad

A delightful dessert salad combining salty pretzels, creamy cheese, and fresh strawberries.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pretzels
  • ¾ cup butter, melted
  • ¾ cup sugar (divided)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 2 packages (3 oz each) strawberry gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups sliced strawberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Crush the pretzels into coarse pieces. Combine crushed pretzels with melted butter and ¾ cup of sugar. Spread evenly in a 9×13 inch pan and bake for 10 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese with 1 cup of sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping until fluffy. Spread over the cooled pretzel crust.
  3. In another bowl, dissolve the strawberry gelatin in boiling water. Mix in sliced strawberries.
  4. Once the gelatin is slightly cooled but not set, pour it over the cream cheese layer. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.

Notes

Cover tightly with plastic wrap for leftovers and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
