  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix together the sugar, brown sugar, and vegetable oil until well combined.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  7. Shape tablespoon-sized amounts of dough into balls.
  8. Coat the balls in powdered sugar until thoroughly coated.
  9. Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  10. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
  11. Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
