Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the brown sugar and softened butter until smooth and creamy.
  3. Beat in the egg and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually add to the creamed mixture.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.

  7. Cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes
